The Manor Suite

The Services We Offer

We provide day care in the Manor Suite of the Memorial Hall for the elderly in Holsworthy and surrounding parishes - thus giving the carer a chance of a day’s respite.
We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays offering lunch, activities, trips, library services, entertainment, talks and demonstrations.

We are an active Day Centre, believing that age or disability should not be a barrier or prevent you from leading a ‘normal’ life.
In the Day Centre we have no TV, and books and knitting are discouraged as we believe that the clients have the rest of the week to do that at home.

At present the Day Centre provides day care for an average of 15 clients per day with space for many more new clients.
Day Centre clients are welcomed on arrival with a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.
During their time at the Centre clients are welcome to participate in a number of group activities, including games, crafts, short sessions of bingo and a chance to change their library books. Other activities include extend exercise classes to music. The Centre also offers support for a variety of difficulties, and a social outlet to those who may be house bound.

The monthly Grapevine newsletter is part of our activities, with many of the clients contributing various articles.
